National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts

In 2008, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts initiated a research project The Taiwan Documentary Aesthetics Series, in order to promote Taiwanese documentaries, to extend cultural services towards our visitors, as well as to establish the theoretical foundations of Taiwanese documentaries’ aesthetics development. In 2009, the Museum invited five experts and professors from the documentary field in Taiwan: Lin Bao-yuan, Lee Yung-chuan, Chiu Kuei-fen, Kuo Li-hsin and Wei-Ti, as curators of the Taiwan Documentary Aesthetics SeriesⅡ. With their different expertise, they selected different subjects focused on their aesthetics observations about Taiwanese documentaries, thus explore the characteristics of styles, images’significations and Taiwanese documentaries’identifications.
