National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts

In the four-year “Taiwan Tech x Art Innovation Project: Visual ArtsPermanent Collection”,NTMoFA presents translational interpretation of masterpieces under its collection using contemporary technology. For instance, interactive projection, AR and VR are used to display LIN Yu-Shan'sEastern gouache painting,Lotus Pond, and LI Ming-Tse's painting,Lotus Pond in Zuoying. This year, NTMoFA is applying mixed reality (MR) to LI’s works, combining real-life settings with virtual visuals to create contextualized and experiential exhibitions in a departure from VR's entirely virtual scenarios. The aim is to enhance and differentiate the viewing experience while broadening the dissemination of art.

The "International Symposium: Collecting and Exhibiting New Media Arts" contains collected papers and panel discussion records.

On view in this exhibition are landscape paintings that express concerns for the land and showcase environmental awareness, with the exhibition divided into the following three themes:Spectacular Brushstrokes - Homage to Nature;Collapsing Land - Revelation; andSeeing All Things - Fantasy World. The three sections are further arranged into five interactive zones that are intended to guide the audience to see through different perspectives.

The year 2016 is the centennial anniversary of Lin Chih-Chu’s birthday. The NTMoFA specially organizes the memorial exhibition to commemorate Lin’s efforts in promotion and education of gouache painting, and honor his outstanding contributions to modern Taiwanese art.
