In the four-year “Taiwan Tech x Art Innovation Project: Visual Arts Permanent Collection”, NTMoFA presents translational interpretation of masterpieces under its collection using contemporary technology. For instance, interactive projection, AR and VR are used to display LIN Yu-Shan's Eastern gouache painting, Lotus Pond, and LI Ming-Tse's painting, Lotus Pond in Zuoying. This year, NTMoFA is applying mixed reality (MR) to LI’s works, combining real-life settings with virtual visuals to create contextualized and experiential exhibitions in a departure from VR's entirely virtual scenarios. The aim is to enhance and differentiate the viewing experience while broadening the dissemination of art.
